A Chipotlian Attitude...

One of the many things I like about my boyfriend is he's got a bit of an attitude. just a bit.
He's actually the nicest guy in the world, but he is endlessly making fun of me. For instance, his term of endearment for me is "Freakshow."

So it's important that I spend time with a bunch of other people so my ego stays somewhat in tact... I went to meet my buddy Dan at the Graduate Hospital's SideCar Bar & Grille at 22nd and Christian. Always offering great craft beer on tap and a ever-changing menu that would satisfy the most fickle of foodies.

When I arrived, Dan was sipping on a Rogue Mocha Porter and enjoying a bowl of butternut squash soup. Butternut squash soup becomes a staple on most Autumn menus...But the chefs at the SideCar are one step ahead. They added a pinch of chipotle...which the owner, Adam Ritter cleverly referred to as "a bit of an attitude." I decided I would copy cat Dan's fine selections.

It paralleled the dichotomy that is my boyfriend in 18 delicious spoonfuls (with the freshest of bread for dipping!)

Would have stayed for another but the night was getting away....On the way out I noticed their features for the night were actually paired up with beer suggestions....
Only in America's greatest Beer City.
