SPTR renovations wrapping up

I know we've been hearing it for six months, but I think South Philly Tap Room is just about a week away from their renovations
being completed.

There will be no second bar, but the second room will have plenty of group seating, a fireplace, nooks, and a pretty cool wait station...(a retro oven).

I'm sad to report Tap room manager Even Clancy has moved on. I believe he is going back to school. One of the other gentleman you see there quite often, Steve, will be taken over. I actually took the Beer Judge Certification Class with him last year.

He's a great guy and an avid homebrewer. I am sure he'll keep the tap's full of good stuff.

Don't forget they have one of the best happy hours in the city...1/2 off all draft from 4-6.

And when you're talking about beers like Bells HopSlam and Allagash four...maybe it is the best.
