Not quite cana- But Close

At the beginning of Beer Week- I was excited, a bit nervous, but mostly felt that this wouldn't be too much different than my daily dosage of bar hopping and beer sampling.

Couldn't have been more wrong. So freakin' wrong.

I haven't even had a chance to document all the drinking.
People keep asking me how I'm doing, and all I can reply is with the great words of April Reynolds, "Just trying not to die."

There's already plenty of stories....
*Late nights at 16th and Spruce...
*Encounters with Bobo, my new favorite Belgian Texan
*My friend Jim Wiggins opening bottles of Cantillon at 4 in the morning....
*Watching one of my bosses, casey, fall flat on monks back bar...

But for now, I will share with you this magical moment....
I just got word from Jose Pistolas himself, Joe Gunn, that a couple got MARRIED at jose's last night after the Adam Avery beer dinner. The presence of Boulders handsome and talented brewer coupled with the atmosphere of Jose Pistolas (15th and Spruce) propelled the lovebirds to take the next step.

Ironically, they were sitting with a minister at dinner.
Six courses and 11 beers later, they said "I do."
