Philadelphia Blue Day: Giving Back next Tuesday

This just came to my attention.
Next TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28th,
will be Philadelphia's first BLUE DAY.

Participating business will donate 10% of their day's revenue to the big men in blue of the Philadelphia police department. Businesses can still sign up to participate as well.

From the website:
"David and Jennifer Fox, founders of Brave Spirits, started Philadelphia Blue Day in response to the tragedies that have befallen the Philadelphia Police Department. They wanted to create a way for the entire City and surrounding areas to show their support for the men and women in Blue. Brave Spirits is a premium American-made spirits company whose mission is to honor, remember and celebrate the brave men and women who protect our country. For every bottle sold, they give $2 to charities that support our military, police departments and fire departments."

A few participating bars so far

The Grey Lodge
Institute
The Ugly Moose/Garage
Irish Pubs (at 12th and 20th)
Harrington's
WaterWorks
Chickie and Pete's (which is pretty cool considering how many people will be watching the game there Tuesday)
Finnegan's Wake
