Just in: "The Thirsty Monk" in Mt. Airy

Just got a tip from beer pal and Mount Airy resident, Geoff Keston that a liquor license application has gone up in a storefront on Germantown Ave.

The Thirsty Monk, LLC. it reads.

  1. There's another pub by that name in Ashville, NC. Not claiming a connection, just noticing the similarity.

    As much as I love the Belgians, I have to say that Philadelphia really doesn't need another Belgian tap -- or another beer bar on that particular strip, for that matter!

  2. Yes it does need another!! I'm tired of visiting my family in Mt. Airy and having to go downtwon to find a good Belgian tap spot.
