Tomorrow night-= Temperance House-=-=
(dates back to 1772)

They even have a hotel above the restaurant should you want to wake up in Newtown on Saturday morning.

Brewmaster Brian O'Reilly will be guiding the guests throught this 5 course meal...
We're looking forward to it .
I haven't had ribs in a while....sounds like a great pairing with the pale ale...

I Course:

Helles Golden Lager with Lager & Cheese Dip served with homemade pretzels

II Course: Route 113 IPA with Mussels and Chorizo Soup

III Course: Saison VOS (champagne cork bottle) with Mesclun Salad tossed with mandarin oranages, chopped walnuts, crumbled goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette

IV Course: Phoenix American Pale Ale with Pale Ale Marinated BBQ Baby Back Ribs (sides still TBD)

V Course: Ichor with Chocolate Plate featuring homemade truffles, homemade chocolate mousse, and a chocolate covered strawberry

From their website:

"During the 1840s, when the Bucks County Temperance Society was a powerful force in Newtown, Higgs named the hotel “The Sign of the Good Samaritan” and served only mineral water, mead, ginger pop, and lemonade – a far cry from today’s full-service restaurant and bar."

And after we have enjoyed our time- I'll mosey across the street and Say hi to their neighbors, Isaac Newtons. If you live in Newtown or close by hope to see you for the dinner or a "nightcap"
