Gobblefest Day 4: The Hawthornes Edition

I am sure you have already read plenty about Hawthornes, the new bier cafe in the Bella Vista Neighborhood.

I went on Thursday for lunch, then again on Saturday afternoon for brunch. I wasn't in the mood either time for a beer, but I can't wait to grab a celebrator and sit by the fire this winter.
The atmosphere is rather comfortable for brand new construction.

Adult alternative music plays in the background. The menu is lengthy- mostly consisting of cold and hot sandwiches, two soups changing daily. Brunch is served from 8 until 3 not just for the weekend warriors but on Friday as well.
Otherwise the cafe opens for lunch at 11.

There are a a few turkey options, but I went for the MUC-= got to find out the story behind than names of some of these sandwiches.

Hand Carved turkey, brie and mustard rest in between some darn tasty bread house made chips sit alongside. The bread comes from South Philly (Snyder and ?), the coffee from Souderton, Pa (One Village) and Hawthornes at large, comes straight from a couples' heart. A three year dream come into fruition for the duo and a whole bunch of thirsty Philadelphians.
