Best Thing I Ate all Week: Braised Veal at Palate in Newtown

Taking Juicy to the Tenth Power
Chef Justin Kaplan braises the veal for about 2 1/2 hours.  It served with sweetbreads, brussels sprouts and squash.  Mushrooms and cranberries accompany as well.  In this photo they are hidden behind that big block of veal.

It was 2:30 pm on a Wednesday and I was totally spoiled.

They are a BYO open Tuesday-Sunday 5-9:30.
The Veal is $25 and worth every dollar.

The four month old Palate is located right on State St. in Newtown.
You can enjoy an elegant meal there then head to Isaac Newtons or the new Black Horse after.
There's also a great record shop on the opposite side of the street with new and used vinyl.

Look for my review in the next issue of Bucks County Women.
