Some Oldies and Some Duvel make for a Golden Night at the Four Seasons

It's raining in my house again, but my mood can't be spoiled.  I'm still ear-to-ear following my  change in Monday night's schedule from that of Bridgids to the Four Seasons for a private charity concert for AIDS by the Jersey Boys cast.  I was the "plus one" of Ommegang's Megan Maguire and Great Lakes Mark Weinmann.  I met Jerry Blavat. He mouthed "I love you" to me three times through a glass pane.  He comes in the room with all the charisma one would expect.  One guy goes, "I'm Johnny," to which Blavat responds, "I'm the Geater!"

The cast strayed from the Four Seasons lineup to perfom American Bandstand hits for a Main Line crowd.  Toward the end of the night we met Steve who performed Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue."  Not only did he love beer. He had recently bought some Sly Fox.  That night he was enjoying some Duvel, Ommegang Hennepin, and Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald (recently written up by Craig Laban).  Steve's girlfriend Alison gushed about his love of beer on tour when he wasn't around.  After a quick stop by the Swann Lounge at the Four Seasons, we brought them to Monks afterward with some other Jersey Boys production managers.

Oh what a night it was.  Here's some video footage. Our new beer buddy Steve is  the one in glasses.
