Fishtown's Fathom Seafood opens today 4 pm

Months ago I saw that orange rectangular sticker that gets all the food and drink-obsessed all excited at the corner of Girard and Shackomaxon  The excitement rose when I found out Mike Stollenwerk (FISH, Little Fish BYO) was behind it. Then I took the nerdom to the internet and started reading more. Grub St. was writing about this spot last June.  But the hip seafood-centric pub is finally opening- and has a focus on craft beer to boot.

Opening taps include some local favorites like Troegs, Yards, and Flying Fish (but of course).
I'll be happy to throw back some Pikeland Pils cans while enjoying some raw bar offerings.

Dan Bisigno- better known as Jersey Dan. consulted Chef Stollenwerk on the taps/cans/bottles.

Hours are 4 till 2 Sunday through Friday and 12 till 2 on the weekends.
It's a hop jump and a skip away from the under-rated Murph's Tavern right on Girard, and then just thirty more feet to rock and roll beer bar Johnny Brendas.

Fathom's  website is still under construction but the MENU is posted.
